Staffing firm provides five scholarships for Latino students through Project Stepping Stone INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana— Margie Chavez, a professional recruiter for the Morales Group Inc., presented $500 scholarships to five Latino students at the Project Stepping Stone awards program on June 16. The Indianapolis chapter of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs sponsors this statewide program. “The day was so joyous. Seeing young Latinos from all over the state of Indiana convene here in Indianapolis and get a hands on education about college life really helps push their dreams to reality,” said Chavez. Project Stepping Stone is a one-week college preparatory experience that assists Hispanic high school students in their transition to college and beyond. This free program seeks to introduce participants to potential careers in business and includes visits to several Indiana college campuses including Ivy Tech, IUPUI, the University of Indianapolis and Indiana State University. “At the Morales Group we are passionate about supporting our Latino students. With the program now expanded to include 50 Hispanic high school students, volunteers made this year's program a real success.
