Tom Morales
Tom Morales proudly embraces his Mexican heritage as well as his Hoosier roots that date back over 50 years. His parents, Manuel and Josefina moved from Texas to Indianapolis becoming one of the city’s first permanent Hispanic residents.
While in high school, Tom learned how to conquer cultural and stereotypical barriers, as he was the only Hispanic in the student body. Tom put himself through college. He attended Purdue University, where he graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1975. He was the first member of his family to graduate from college. Upon graduation, Tom married his high school sweetheart, Chris. Today, they are the proud parents of five children.
Tom’s work experience includes firms such as Procter & Gamble, Union Carbide and the Donaldson Corporation. After twenty-three successful years in sales and marketing, he left to explore other opportunities and to pursue his dreams of owning his own business.
Tom’s dream was to launch a business that could utilize his extensive sales, business, and leadership background while allowing his Mexican heritage to be a bridge between the Indianapolis business community and the growing Hispanic population.
As a leader dedicated to God, family, and community, Tom exemplifies the values that brought his father and mother to Indianapolis. Today, Tom is the CEO of one of the fastest growing Hispanic owned businesses in America, one of the best places to work in Indiana, and one of the nation’s top 100 Hispanic businesses.
